Living in Italy, I’m surrounded by places that feel like paintings waiting to happen. Boccadasse is one of those places—a small fishing village on the Ligurian coast that always fills me with peace and inspiration.
In this painting, I wanted to show the colorful charm of the village. The houses, painted in warm shades of yellow, orange, and pink, stand out beautifully against the deep blue of the sea and sky. I used oil paints to bring out the richness of these colors and to add texture to the scene.
The reflections in the water were especially fun to paint. They add movement and life, making the whole scene feel alive. I also paid close attention to the light and shadows, which help create depth and make the village feel real and inviting.
This artwork is my way of sharing a quiet moment in Boccadasse—where you can almost hear the waves and feel the sea breeze. It’s a tribute to the beauty of Italy and the joy I find in painting its landscapes.
